Attention Nations of SNQ:
To our nation, this resolution seems pretty clear cut. The UCPL Resolution was passed some time ago to protect intellectual property.
However, the resolution failed to make several distinctions, namely between patent and copyright law. These are wholly independent laws, and the previous resolution did not explore the differences.
And due to the overwhelming complexities that are inherient in these laws, an amendment to the resolution is seemingly and ultimately both ineffective and an oversimplification.
With consideration of the facts and circumstances before the United Nations, the Most Serene Republic of Vitalinia votes to repeal the UCPL resolution in its entirety, so that new legislation can be drafted that details the intricate details of how these laws effect intellectual property.
With Regards,
Thesbus the Benevolent Charge d'Affaires Most Serene Republic of Esthetica

It is the opinion of the Grand Duke that the needless and wasteful creation of offices with the passed resolution must be revoked. Therefore, The Grand Duchy of Beejaya supports the Most Serene Republic of Esthetica’s position on the matter and will vote with it to repeal the UCPL.
If another resolution is proposed to address this matter, we feel that it would be better served if there was on central, universal location to protect intellectual property rather than having separate offices in each country. Until then, we repeat our support to repeal this resolution.

Tally:
VOTE FOR REPEAL: 2
VOTE AGAINST REPEAL: 0
Alrighty, after reading the original resolution, I agree with repealing this proposal as well. It seems way too convoluted for anything and is choked in bureaucracy. According to the will of those who voted (thanks Esthetica & Beejaya!) I will cast my vote AGAINST the resolution in a few minutes.
