Location: Fort Forrest, Northern Beejaya. One of Several Major Military Air force Bases in Beejaya
Setting: Pilot's Lounge. A group of pilots, on standby are playing a game of Texas Hold'em
Pilot: I'll see your 20, and raise you 10 more.
Pilot 2: Call.
Pilot: Read them and weep gentlemen. Full house, 8 full of queens.
Pilot 3: Damn it.
:: The Automated Alert System kicks on. The AAS connected at all base provides for quick alert status changes, from a setting of 1, the highest, to 5, the lowest. It is currently set at 4, indicating that there are some planes in the air, but for all intensive purposes, the base is in a peace time situation. The AAS beeps 3 time loudly, inside and outside on the base. By training, everyone stops what they are doing and listens. The calm female voice of the system kicks on.::
AAS:: Attention. All personnel. Attention. The Alert Setting of this base is now One. Repeat. The Alert setting of this base is now one. All pilots to your ready stations.
::A controlled, but frantic dash immediately begins. The base's own alert sirens begin to go off. The base commander gets onto the PA system to issue general orders::
Base Commander:: All planes that are fueled and armed should scramble immediately. All other planes are to be prepared and launched Asap. Squadron Commanders, institute Delta Defense Plan. I repeat. Delta Defense plan.
:: Pilots come bursting out of their barracks running to planes being wheeled out of their hangers. Pilots climbs into them as planes scream into the air and establish combat air patrols along the northern fringes of Beejaya. Elsewhere smaller air bases in Northern Beejaya are doing the same thing while special army units, mainly AA armored vehicles are rolling out of their bases.::
-------------------------------------
Location: Ace's Den
Walrus:: All units in Northern Beejaya are on alert and active Your Highness.
Ace: Excellent. Maintain a high state of alert in Northern Beejaya. Have all other units remain on standby.
Walrus:: As you wish.
Ace:: Lets see if this intelligence pans out. At the very least, it is a good training exercises.
